Our Story

About Us

From a 16-year-old selling a family friend's car in 12 hours, to a registered motor vehicle dealer — this is the story of how MV Consignment came to be.

Quality

Every vehicle is presented at its best — from detailing to photography to listing. We don't cut corners because our name is on it.

Care

Clients are kept informed and supported through the entire process. You're not left wondering what's happening with your vehicle.

Commitment

Fees are tied to results. Commission is only earned at settlement — so our incentive is always aligned with getting the best outcome for you.

Our Journey

From The Driveway Up

Age 16

12 hrsTo sell his first car

12 Hours. One Car. Everything Clicked.

At 16, a family friend asked him to sell their 1991 Audi 90. He detailed it, photographed it, and listed it himself. It sold in 12 hours.

Early Days

$0Spent on ads

No Licence. Parents' Driveway. One Client At A Time.

The early operation was as grassroots as it gets — his dad drove the cars home because Matthew didn't have his licence yet.

A client base built entirely on word of mouth, with zero paid advertising. The first client: a 2006 Holden Caprice.

Every Key Partnership Started Over A Single Car.

Pure Finance came through a Nissan Juke on consignment. Skylines Downunder — MV Consignment's export and import partner — came through the same E36.

Workshop Partner — Spargs Auto Tune

Spargs is our go-to workshop — any mechanical work a vehicle needs, these guys handle it. Pre-purchase inspections are carried out here too, and they deal directly with our buyers for full transparency. They're also great customers of ours, consigning a few race cars through MV Consignment.

Registered Dealer. Paperwork. By Himself.

Becoming a registered motor vehicle dealer brought a new level of compliance — something Matthew worked through largely on his own at just 18.
